If you think you have hail damage but are not sure, contact a reputable and local roofer to evaltuate your roof first. If the roofer believes you have hail damage significant enough to make a claim on your insurance then call the claim in. It can be a good idea to have your roofer at the house when the adjustor is there so they can go over the findings and measurements together. If you are confident that you have significant damage it might not be necessary to consult a roofer prior. If you get an insurance check in hand before you decide to shop for a roofer try to find out the roofers price for the work before letting the roofer know how much insurance money you have recieved or will be recieving. Remember, just because there has been hail, does not mean you have hail damage. Just because you have damage does not mean that you have significant damage, enough to warrant any replacement from your insurance company.
